Terms of Service

The rules for using Outstanding Tiny Desk AI: your photos, credits, refunds and what you may make with it.

Last updated: 2026-10-26

Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Outstanding Tiny Desk AI, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to use it.

What the service does

Outstanding Tiny Desk AI makes a short AI-generated video in which the person in your photo takes the lead of a template clip based on the Outstanding Tiny Desk trend. The video is made by AI models. It is not real footage, and the result can differ from your photo, for example in likeness, hands or clothing details. We may change, pause or stop features of the service, and we will try to give notice where we can.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us through Support straight away if you think someone else has used it.

Your photos and consent

When you upload a photo, you confirm that:

  • you have the right to use it, and the person in it is you, or an adult who has agreed to appear in an AI-generated video;
  • nobody in it is under 18;
  • it does not show a celebrity, public figure or anyone else who has not given their consent.

Acceptable Use

You must not use the service to:

  • make content that is sexual, violent, hateful or harassing, or that targets a real person;
  • deceive people, impersonate someone, or pass off a video as real footage of an event that did not happen;
  • infringe anyone's privacy, likeness, copyright or trademark rights;
  • break the law, or the rules of the platforms where you post;
  • get around our limits, use automated tools against the site, or try to access systems or data that are not yours.

When you post a video, follow the platform's rules for labelling AI-generated content. We may refuse to make a video, remove videos, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Credits and payment

  • Videos are paid for with credits. The number of credits a video costs is shown on the Generate button before you start.
  • Credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred.
  • Credit packs are sold through Link, a service of Stripe, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record for your purchase. Link takes the payment, handles any sales tax or VAT, sends your receipt and answers payment questions under its own terms.
  • Prices are shown with any applicable tax included. The price on the site is the total you pay.
  • If a video fails to generate, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
  • Because credits are spent on processing straight away, purchases and spent credits are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or Link grants a refund under its own policies (it may do so within 60 days of purchase in some cases). If you think you were charged in error, contact us through Support.
  • If a purchase is refunded, whoever issues the refund, the credits it added are removed from your balance, up to the credits you have left. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly get refunds after using their credits.
  • Prices may change. A change never affects credits you have already bought.

Your videos

Subject to these Terms and the rights of others, you may use the videos you make for personal use and post them on social media. Videos, and the photos used to make them, are deleted 7 days after the video is made, so download the videos you want to keep. You give us the permission we need to store and process your photos and videos to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The template clip, including its audio, comes from the Outstanding Tiny Desk trend, which is based on a performance recorded for NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts; the performance, the footage and the song belong to their rights holders. We do not give you any rights in the music or in third-party material. When you post, you are responsible for using it in line with the platform's rules; many platforms let you use the trend's official sound instead.

No affiliation

Outstanding Tiny Desk AI is an independent fan tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band or any social media platform. “Tiny Desk” is a trademark of NPR, used here only to describe the trend. Names and marks belong to their owners.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or that a video will look exactly as you expect.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for how you or others use the videos you make. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us through Support to close your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Unused credits are not refunded when an account is closed for breaking these Terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these Terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you on the site or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
